To be able to practice as a registered nurse in the UK, you need to meet the following criteria set by
Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) :

• Nursing qualification from a recognized institution
• Proof of proficiency in English
• NMC Test of Competence Part 1 - Computer Based Test (CBT)
• NMC Test of Competence Part 2 - Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
• UKVI IELTS – For Visa

Doctors

General Medical Council (GMC) is the board which helps maintain quality of healthcare in the country. To practice a doctor, you first need to register with GMC.You should meet the following eligibility criteria for the same :

• Primary medical qualification from a recognized institution
• Proof of proficiency in English
• Declaration of fitness to practise
• Time since graduation and Total amount of practice (For breaks in practice)
• Demonstration of Knowledge and Skills necessary to practise medicine.Any of the following Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board Test (PLAB 1 & 2 ) with evidence of an acceptable internship
• Evidence of acceptable internship
• Acceptable postgraduate qualification
• Sponsorship by approved Sponsor
• Eligibility for entry onto the Specialist Register or the GP Register
• UKVI IELTS – For Visa

Nurses:
OET - A minimum score of 350 with B grade in all the four modules
Scores of two tests taken within 6 months can clubbed if the score in none of the module is less than 300(C+ Grade)
IELTS (Academic) – A minimum of 7 band in Reading,Listening and Speaking,and a minimum of 6.5 in Writing
Doctors:
OET - A minimum score of 350 with B grade in all the four modules in the most recent test
IELTS (Academic) – A minimum of 7 band in all the four areas and an overall score of 7.5
