by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency ( AHPRA) and register with the concerned
Board of Australia. (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) for nurses , and Medical
Board of Australia for Doctors)
All applicants for registration (excludes student registration) must meet the requirements of the
following mandatory registration standards:
Continuing professional development
Criminal History
English language requirements (OET/IELTS/PTE/TOEFL )
Recency of practice
Professional indemnity insurance arrangements
IELTS Academic - A minimum overall score of 7 and of 7 in all four areas
Clubbing of scores is allowed if taken within 6 months and the scores in any of the sitting is not less
than 6.5
OET - A minimum of B (350 marks) in all four areas.
Clubbing of scores is allowed if taken within 6 months and the scores in any of the sitting is not less
than C ( 200-290marks)
PTE Academic- A minimum overall score of 65 and a minimum of 65 in all four areas
